Welcome to the 2nd Annual Phoenix Literary Retreat! We had a great time in 2018 and we are looking forward to returning to Phoenix next year.
Most of the day the Readers are in Literary Salons. These are group discussions on a particular genre of our literature. They last for about an hour. The Attendees then choose a new conversation to join. Two Literary Salons happen at the same time, so while one group is discussing Romance Novels in one room, in another they are discussing Historical Fiction. The Literary Salons are facilitated by Readers from all over the country.
FREE BOOKS! If you register before the end of October you will get both books by our featured Authors as my gift. You will get The Women on Redford Drive by Alretha Thomas and Unbreak my Heart by Rhonda McKnight. Authors will be in Phoenix to sign their books.
In the 2019 event I have added an Authors Showcase to share with you some wonderful Authors whose work I have enjoyed and I think you will like their work as well. Attendees will again get free books and the Authors are present to sign them and say hello to you.
I hope the low $50.00 deposit will encourage you to register today. Payments are refundable until February 20, 2019.
Thank you for joining us at the 2019 Phoenix Literary Retreat.

She is the winner of the 2015 Emma Award for Inspirational Romance of the Year. She was also a 2010 nominee for the African-American Literary Award. Her most recent novel is Unbreak My Heart.
Author Jacquelin Thomas
Back in 1999 I had an idea that if my Book Club could get together with some other Book Club women and spend a weekend talking about the African American literature we were all reading, it would be a great time. I had no idea how many women would come or exactly what we would do, but these were my Literary Sisters and I just felt it would work out fine. Some very special Authors heard about the Literary Retreat and agree to come and meet us. It was April 1999 and I will never forget those wonderful Authors who stepped out on faith and came to join us.
One of the Authors was Jacquelin Thomas. I have watched her career soar with awards from the Romance in Color Reviewers, Readers Choice Award and more. Over the years she has continued to support me which I have appreciated. Her books continue to be a favorite and I am thrilled that she has decided to join us in April at the Literary Retreat.
